STUFF THE SHUTTLE - BACKPACKS FOR KIDS EVENT
We are pleased to announce that CSIG Cares is hosting a Stuff the Shuttle event to benefit the Livingston Educational Service Agency (LESA) on Friday August 3, 2012 from 10:00am – 6:30pm at the MC Sports parking lot in the Brighton Town Center Square.
We will be collecting backpacks, school supplies and socks for kids of all ages. Whatever we collect will be turned over to LESA to be provided at no cost to Livingston County children in need.
Last year LESA raised approximately $20,000 in monetary donations and school supplies. This helped LESA distribute over 1,100 backpacks to students from preschool through 12th grade. The goal this year is 2,000 backpacks full of basic school supplies for Livingston County Students whose families may be experiencing financial difficulties. Residents of churches and other local businesses all work together to contribute to this effort through donations, volunteer time, and serving as drop-off sites for supplies and backpacks.
