Two Brighton Students Receive Board of Trustees' Awards for 4.0 GPAs

At the April 13 Michigan State University Board of Trustees meeting, two Brighton students were among 37 students who received Board of Trustees' Awards for having the highest scholastic average at the close of his or her last semester in attendance at MSU.

This is the highest number of students who have received awards in recent history.

Chaun Gandolfo and Claire Carpenter, both Brighton High School graduates, were awarded for their 4.0 GPA.

Gandolfo is the son of Angele and Frank Gandolfo.

He is member of the Honors College, and is double majoring in physiology and human biology, both in Lyman Briggs College.

Carpenter is the daughter of Jan and Rob Carpenter.

She is also a member of the Honors College. Carpenter is a communicative sciences and disorders major in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences.

Gandolfo and Carpenter, along with the other award recipients, will also be recognized at their spring commencements May 4-6.
