People of all ages lined the streets waving flags during the Brighton July 4th Parade on Wednesday morning.

Hundreds of spectators lined Main Street on Wednesday morning as the 4th of July Parade marched through downtown Brighton.

George Moses waited with the Optimist Club for their turn to hit the streets.

"Its good to see this many people," he said. "We are number 69 in the parade, so its going to be a long parade for us!"

The Duck Race at the Millpond turned out to be a nailbiter. As the little plastic ducklings neared the end of the race, they became bogged down, causing Lee O'Connell to remark, "This should be the Great Duck Jam!"

Jim Gilmore got the crowd hyped up, chanting "Let's go ducks! as the winners crossed the finish line.

The first place winner of the Caribbean trip turned out to be duck number 3180. There were 35 winners in the race altogether with prizes from a trip to Chicago to a golf outing.
