About 100 Brighton Area Schools employees, including Superintendent Greg Gray, administrators, teachers, secretaries, support and LESA staff had the opportunity to be "Pinked Out" in downtown Brighton on Oct. 18.

Karen Storey, Maltby Special Education Teacher and Elaine French, BEA office assistant arranged a Pink Out Scavenger Hunt, sponsored by BEA, to support BAS Pink Week. Staff members were decked out in pink, from head to toe.

Pink Week was initiated by students, to raise money for breast cancer. All proceeds from a week-long of themed events will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The scavenger hunt started at Brighton High School, where Dr. Gray and High School Principal Gavin Johnson led the team to Downtown Main. Employees had to figure out clues and gather items around town. Many local businesses were involved in the hunt.

"Go here for something sweet, but not be suckered.." was the clue to head to Oh My Lolli. They had to sing the Lolli Pop Song.

"Jack be nimble, Jack be Quick head on over to.." Jack's Custard, where they were greeted with custard.

"Don’t forget to hang on to those handlebars and the owner sure is a Champ, while you are here he will ask for a toast.." of course led to Champ's Pub.
