City of Brighton Honors Building Beautification Projects
The Planning Commission gave out its annual awards on Nov. 19.
The City of Brighton Planning Commission awarded its three annual awards to recognize renovation or construction projects that have improved and beautified the city.
E.D. Ewing Award was given to Betty and Lisa Dean and John Lutke for their home at 905 W. Main Street.
The White Dress received the Noeker Award for a new, non residential buildings that have contributed to the qaulity of life in the City of Brighton
The Pound! Bar & Grill was chosen to receive the Karl H. Gremel Award.
The award, named after longtime city planning consultant Karl Greimel, is given for best fit and proper utilization of land, innovation and creativity, architectual detail, quality of landscaping, site lighitng and other attributes.
"I think it's a great award, but it's not something I ever expected," Kevin Montagano, co-owner of The Pound, said. "It's a very a cool award to have. It's nice that people appreciate the work that Lindhout did."
