Connor Grabowski: Not Kidnapped, I'm Free

New You Tube video shows 11-year-old boy telling viewers he wanted to start a new life.

The 11-year-old son of Mark Grabowski is seen in a recent You Tube video telling viewers that he wasn't kidnapped by his father, rather he left on his own free will.

"I was just gonna make this video to tell the news people and whatever that I'm fine, I was not kidnapped," Connor said to the camera. "I came on my own will."

Mark Grabowski, a former Detroit Lions defensive lineman, is now wanted by police. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and he faces charges of kidnapping.

The 11-year old goes on to give details regarding his apparent version of events during the 2:38 minute clip.

On the public Facebook page Help Us Find Connor Grabowski-Cracchiolo, Nate Temby, the brother of Connor's mother, Kelly Evans, says that Connor is "not being himself" in the video.

"If you choose to watch the video, please watch his eyes, his awkward pauses, and his tone," Temby wrote on the Facebook page. "You can make your own deductions. He needs to be back with his mother. Please pray for his safety and the continued efforts to bring him home."

and what if he is telling the truth. The court systems never listen to the kids.
Maybe this is a desparate attempt to take his kid to safety. People should not judge until they know what is really happening.

I agree. Unfortunately, he probably made things worse for himself. If the boy's mother truly is mentally abusive, and not providing a stable home environment, kidnapping your own son is the quickest way to make sure you DO NOT get custody. There are a lot of parents out there feeling like they're stuck in the same kind of lose-lose situation. It's so sad.

I have a friend whose step-children have the birth mother from he!!. I've seen it first-hand... The courts are do NOT play fair when it comes to fathers and custody. In my friend's case, the courts won't listen to him. One of the children has to get hurt, literally, before they will hear what he has to say. For now, they treat him as if he's just trying to cause trouble. It's his word against hers and, unfortunately, the courts seem to side with moms more than dads. It's really sad because there are kids out there who are suffering because of it.

His father is now a criminal. Period. If you had a child you would know they dont talk like that. Obviously fed the script the.kidnapper wanted. If a stranger had him amd he.made the video would you say all of the crap you ve been spewing? Concentrate on finding this boy so the authorities can make sure hes safe. Innocent men dont run and hide.

Breaks my heart. He reminds me of my son who also just had his 11th birthday. Too bad there is so much rancor between the parents that they couldn't resolve this in family court. If what the child says is true, then I imagine the court will grant some relief. And he may have to live in a foster home, which is what he was trying to avoid doing.

I think someone needs to look into this young boys story. For whatever reasons he is not happy with his mother and I find that unusual. If this father is protecting his son then in my eyes I see him as a good parent who would do anything and everything to keep his child safe!!!!!!

If a parent, or anyone for that matter, thinks that a child is being abused, they should call the authorities. Child Protective Services would be a start. Kidnapping should not be the first step. I am sure this child endured trauma that was unnecessary.
Sharon, you mention that the child is not happy with his mother. Did you come to that conclusion after watching the video that was posted while he was kidnapped and in a state hundreds of miles away from his home and loved ones? You may have done the same thing if you were in that situation. Bottome line is that kidnapping is a crime. Dad is a criminal.
