Energetic Ranger Looking for a Forever Home

An English Pointer is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Livingston County.

Hello everyone! My name is Ranger! I'm a 3-year-old purebred Pointer. I'm quite the handsome guy if I do say so myself.

I am a former stray who was never claimed by anyone. I was then transferred to the HSLC shelter where I was adopted into a home with several other dogs. I did well in one-on-one situations but once all of us were out playing, I got a little too agitated and started some fights. I don't seem to read dog language too well sometimes.

I am an active, high-energy dog that will need daily exercise. In fact, I'd be a great running or jogging companion! I am partially house trained but will need some help in my new home.

About this column: Every Saturday, Patch will highlight a pet from the Humane Society of Livingston County. If you want to adopt a new best friend, call (517) 552-8050 or stop by the facility in Genoa Township, 2464 Dorr Rd, open noon-8 p.m. Mon., and noon-5 p.m. Wed.-Sun. Closed Tuesdays.
