Viewfinder: Flower Day at Brighton Farmers Market
The Brighton Garden Club and local nurseries finally got a beautiful day on Main Street to showcase plants and flowers for fundraising.
The skies were sunny and the air mild as area residents strolled down Main Street perusing the various plants and flowers for sale by local vendors during Flower Day on Saturday.
The Brighton Garden Club brought plants and flowers to sell at its booth on the corner of Main St and Hyne as a fundraiser for the group.
According to Brighton Garden Club President Coral Adas, today was the perfect day after weeks of showers.
Club member Sue Rusnik said that it took eight van loads to transport all of the plants donated by members to the display area on the street.
Brighton Farmers Market occurs 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday through October at Main and Hyne in downtown Brighton.

Thank you so much, Rinda and Jenn!! I'm so crazy for flowers and plants and I knew there would be a lot of temptation so I dragged my poor husband along with me to keep an eye on my wallet!

A great time was had by all and everyone loved the perfect weather as well. We hope everyone continues to enjoy the gardens around Brighton. Our Brighton Garden Club has completed the plantings in the Millpond Planters despite all the rain. The Post Office garden is looking so nice, and soon the garden next to the Chamber of Commerce on Hyne will be completed, too.
