1. The weather

Today will be mostly cloudy, with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 12 p.m., and a high near 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 65 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

• Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.58

• BP, 3452 South Old US-23: $3.62

• Meijer, 8650 W Grand River Ave: $3.63

3. Livingston Women's Club Fundraiser

The Livingston Women’s Club will host a dining fundraiser today at Big Boy from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Big Boy will donate 10 percent of all dining receipts - just say you're there supporting the Livingston Women's Club (LWC). LWC gives 100% of all money raised to our fellow in-need county residents.  Several ways LWC helps: Dove Christmas Giving Tree; $1000 annual college scholarship, hosting the St. George’s Service Awards Banquet and a paying emergency bills for those who need our help.

4. Garage Sale

There will be a garage sale today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4844 Crooked Stick Ct. There will be Baby & Kid clothing, shoes, toys, stuffed animals, books, DVD's and Home stuff too.
