1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 98 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be party cloudy, with a low around 70 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Art at the Mill Pond

The Brighton Art Guild will host Art at the Mill Pond tonight from 6-9 p.m. Stop by and watch artists create and sell art along Main Street.

4. Fundraiser for Heather Murnighan

Stout Irish Pub will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for one of its servers, Heather Murnighan, tonight from 6-9 p.m. Murnighan was diagnosed with soft cell sarcoma proceeds will go to help pay her medical bills. Scottie Alexander will provide entertainment and there will a silent auction with amazing items up for bid such as General Motors week-long vehicle loans, autographed baseballs, memorabilia from Chevy and Kid Rock's band, and Chicago baseball weekends, complete with hotel and vehicle transportation. There will also be a 50/50 raffle along with door prizes and a bake sale.
