Here are five tidbits of news and information we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

And remember, always included in this Monday-Wednesday-Friday feature is a video from someone wishing everyone "good morning" as part of a message to our community. Today's message comes from Kay Simmons, Community Garden Coordinator for the Livingston Hunger Council.

1. The weather

Today will be partly sunny, with a high near 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a 30 percent chance o fshowers and thunderstorms after 5 a.m., and a low around 62 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Sunday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

  • Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.95
  • BP, 204 West Grand River: $3.99

3. Barnes & Noble Storytime

Barnes & Noble Booksellers will host a storytime for children today at 10 a.m. This event is free.

4. On the Ball

Lady of Livingston will hold an on-the-ball class today at 10:45 a.m. Work all the major muscle groups in a class perfect for beginners.

5. Trivia

Where in downtown Brighton can you find cheeses from 12 different countries?
