Grab & Go Kids Planner: Bagger Dave's, Maple Sugaring, Open Bounce and Willy Wonka

Here are our best bets for things to do with the kids in Brighton and beyond March 11-13.

 

Whether you want to enjoy a great family burger experience, the great outdoors maple sugaring, or the musical version of the great Willy Wonka, there's something for you this week. Check it out:

1. LEGENDARY BURGERS

Where/when: Bagger Dave's Legendary Burger Tavern/Sundays, ongoing.

Why go: This brand new family-friendly burger joint features unique burger toppings, great shakes, an electric train and half-off kids' meals every Sunday.

Pricing: $3.99 kids' meals every day but Sunday, when they’re half price.

2. OPEN BOUNCE

Where/when: Bounce U Brighton/6:50-8:45 p.m. Friday; 10:50 a.m.-12:45 p.m. and 4:10 p.m.-6:05 p.m. Saturday; and 1:30 p.m.-3:25 p.m. Sunday. 

Why go? Active fun for the whole family.

Pricing: Kids, $8; free for parents.

3. BHS DANCE COMPANY WORKSHOP

Where/when: Scranton Middle School cafeteria/1 p.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

Why go: Students who may not otherwise be able to afford lessons are invited to take part in this workshop. Snacks and drinks are included, and the first 80 children will receive a free BHSDC T-shirt.

Pricing: Free.

4. MAPLE’S SWEET STORY

Where/when: Kensington Metropark Farm Center/noon-3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Why go: Learn the history of maple sugaring and see the process in action during this sugar bush tour.

Pricing: $3, adults; $1, seniors and children ages three to 12; free, children under three. (Daily park pass is $5.) No pre-registration needed.

5. WILLY WONKA

Where/when: Lakeland High School/7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Why go: Family fun that also supports local theater (Lakeland High School and Lakeland Players)

Pricing: Tickets, $10, available online through PaySchools.
