Hartland Girl Missing, Last Seen at 2 p.m. Monday

Brittany Dickson has been missing since Monday afternoon, according to her mother. Anyone with information is asked to contact the family.

A Hartland girl is missing and her mother is requesting anyone with information to contact her.

Brittany Dickson, 17,  left the house Monday afternoon after a fight with her mother wearing a red shirt, no shoes and with no phone. Brittany has blonde hair and blue eyes, is 5'8" and 135 pounds.

Her mother, Aimee Lawrence, says her daughter may have been walking on M-59 around 2 p.m. on Monday, which is not too far from their house, according to Lawrence.

Her mother has not heard from Brittany since the teenager left the house. The family has plans to file a Missing Person report with the sheriff's department at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, 24 hours after Brittany went missing.

Anyone with information, if you may have seen Brittany or know where she is, is asked to contact the family at 313-590-1892.

Trusting that she is safe and comes home soon. I went through this type of situation with a friend of mine a couple years ago. He daughter was only gone for a couple days, but it seemed like an eternity. She found out very quickly that the world can be a terrible place. Prayers for her and her family.

Has there been any leads to where she might go? My son was missing in Detroit last week. He is 12 and was missing for 18 hours. Has her picture been shown on the news yet? That is the only way my son was found. Someone saw his picture and called the police. Praying she is safe and returns home soon!!

Angela I'm so glad to hear your son was found! I can only imagine how scary that was for a mother. I can't believe the lack of supervision provided by Christ Child House staff that it happened multiple times.

Thank you Kim. I am worried everyday. I can not wait until he is moved to a secured facility.

Brittany - I hope you are safe somewhere and if you are reading this by any chance - please contact your mother, police or a friend or someone and let them know you are safe. Life can be so confusing when you are young (and old!) but you just can't walk away and leave everyone wondering - too many things can happen to people. That goes for adults too! Keep us posted please? I am praying for your daughter to return safely to you and soon!

Brittany, my heart aches for you and your mom. Whatever happened to make you so angry to leave, know that there are people you've never even met who want to protect you and make sure you are safe from harm. Please call someone, anyone, to help get the word back to your mom (and the police) that you are safe. I will continue praying for both you and your mom.
