Rollover Accident Shuts Down Lane on Eastbound Grand River Avenue

A rollover accident involving two cars happened Friday afternoon.

The two women drivers involved in a rollover accident that shut down one lane of eastbound Grand River Friday, only received minor injuries.

Women escaped serious injury Friday afternoon when a rollover accident occured on eastbound Grand River Avenue, just before I-96.

The accident occurred when a Ford Fiesta attempted to make a left turn from westbound Grand River Avenue and pulled out in front of a Chevrolet Blazer, striking it and causing the Blazer to roll over, according to Michigan State Trooper Michael Yenshaw who was on the scene.

The accident shut down the far right lane of eastbound Grand River Avenue, clogging traffic.

The driver of the Blazer suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics on the scene.

Dan Loiselle, a salesman at the Brighton Mazda Dealership said he saw the accident happen and hurried to call 911.
