Smokin' Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival Returns to Brighton

The festival will run Friday and Saturday on Main Street.

Thousands of visitors will be drawn to Main Street this weekend as the Smokin' Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival returns to downtown Brighton.

This festival was created seven years ago, and its popularity has made
it a signature event for Brighton, according to the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce.

The event will run Friday and Saturday, and remain on Main Street both days this year. There will be 15 barbecue vendors, grilling their savory specialties, as well as non-barbecue vendors and restaurants.

Also new this year, children will be allowed to remain in the music area until 9 p.m. in an effort to make the event more family friendly.

Admission is $3 for adults, and children under 12 are free. Anyone under 21 must be accompanied by someone who is of legal drinking age until 9 p.m. After 9 p.m., everyone must be 21.
