Why go: Dena Blizzard’s comedic perspective on marriage, motherhood and the unrealistic perfection that is thrust upon women is hilarious. Why go: Enjoy holiday music, dance performances, horse drawn hay rides, the popular choo-choo train rides, a nativity petting farm, a Santa letter-writing station, holiday treats and local merchants' seasonal sales. Santa and Mrs. Claus will join the Mayor of the City of Brighton and Mike Marino and Jon King of WHMI’s “Morning Crew” at about 5:45 p.m. at the Mill Pond in downtown Brighton; Santa will magically light the trees to orchestrated synchronized music.

Why go: Enjoy performances of 50s and 60s music from the Chicapellas, the all-girls acapella singing ensemble, a special return from Brighton High School graduate Tyler Smith, who played Conrad Birdie in the school production of Bye Bye Birdie; plus, where else will you see a 19-year-old main headliner Elvis tribute artist? (Jake Slater takes the stage at 7 p.m.)
The concert supports the Brighton Kick Off Mentoring Program (B-KOM) for incoming high school freshman and Reaching Higher, a program that helps students in areas of self esteem and relationships. If enough tickets are sold, Brighton High School Principal Gavin Johnson has agreed to have his head shaved onstage.

Why go: This photography, graphic design and dance exhibit hosted by Michigan Dance Project includes informal showing of excerpts from "Soul Mates." Delicious snacks, refreshments and great music are featured. In addition, a portion of all admissions, art and merchandise sales will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
