28th Annual Fine Art & Acoustic Music Festival
The 2011 Brighton Fine Art & Acoustic Music Festival is one of the most prestigious juried art festivals and now includes more than ever.
The 28th annual event, sponsored by the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce, takes place from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 and 10 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 in downtown Brighton's Mill Pond Lane/municipal parking lot area.
Well over 15,000 art enthusiasts from near and far will visit the festival to partake in event activities, savoring local foods and listening to aesthetically soothing music that creates the perfect three-way harmony between art, music and setting.
Visitors and locals will slip from booth to booth to speak one on one with artisans who have created the finest in original works in glass, watercolor, oils, sculpture, photography, pottery, jewelry, woodcarvings and more.
As one of the most prestigious juried art festivals, this event is a favorite for highly talented artists who travel from across the state and nation to participate.
One artist will receive the coveted juried Artisan Guild Award which will guarantee a complimentary booth for 2012. The participating artists will also enjoy an invitation only networking reception with VIPs and Livingston County municipal officials.
