Come join the Brighton Garden Club for a celebration of St.Patrick's Day and learn about the History of the Bonsai from Carmen Leskoviansky. Carmen earned her Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Michigan State and began working at Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum in 2009. Currently she oversees the care for the orchid, bromeliad, and bonsai collections. She also is leading the peony garden initiative which is a multi-year renovation project for Matthaei. Carmen's presentation begins at noon.

The city of Brighton has a large open space community center. With ample parking for larger events, this venue offers a kitchen, large bathrooms, and tables and chairs. Have your event catered, or bring your own food and beverages. You may decorate as you wish, but the communtiy center must be left in its original order when you leave.
