The Detroit Wine Tasting Organization and Team Joseph present ‘In Wine there is Hope’, a charity wine tasting event on Thursday, August 23 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Detroit Tigers starting pitcher, Rick Porcello, will serve as honorary chairman for the evening hosted at one of the largest private car collections in the nation, Lingenfelter Car Collection at 7819 Lochlin Drive in Brighton.
All proceeds from the event benefit Team Joseph, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to fund cutting edge research to find a treatment or cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
The charity wine tasting will include more than 70 wines, beer sampling, strolling dinner and a silent auction. Attendees are also encouraged to take part in fun, wine-themed games, such as pull-a-cork.
Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased by emailing Dorene Pulgini at dlp1201@comcast.net or by visiting www.detroitwine.org.

More About Lingenfelter Motor Sports
Lingenfelter Motor Sports has been a labor of love for Ken Lingenfelter since 1977, which is when he purchased his first collectable Corvette. The Corvette still figures prominently in the Lingenfelter collection of automobiles, but it shares the limelight with over 150 other rare exotics in this 40,000-square-foot location. The collection is not presently open to the public, but appointments can be scheduled for charity groups, corporate events, car clubs and silent or live auctions. Lingenfelter is an active participant in many charities such as breast cancer research and many youth charity organizations.
