5 Classes Coming Up from Brighton Community Ed

Check out these five classes offered through Brighton Community Education.

  • YOGA - Whether it is Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, YC Yin Yoga, Pilates, T.C.B (Taking Care of Backs), or Toddler/Infant Yoga - we have the Yoga Class for you!  Classes start up September 15th and 16th at the Yoga Center for Healthy Living through BCE, register online today!  Cost for classes are $79 for 6 sessions.
  • PLAYTIME BAND - Brighton's Largest Indoor Playground!  Playtime band is a place where your child can develop learning skills through music and motor activities, use cooperation skills, and make new friends!  This class starts September 17th and meets every Tuesday until November 19th.  Cost is $133 with two classes, one for toddlers and one for children 2.5-4 years old.
  • TAI CHI - The ancient martial art form from China is taught and practiced with slow, gentle, and graceful flowing movements to help relax the body and mind, relieve stress, enhance spirit, improve balance, gain muscle and improve circulation.  Class starts September 18th and runs every Wednesday through October with an afternoon session from 1-2pm at the Miller Building and an evening session from 7-8pm at the BECC Buildling.
  • KIDS CAN PUBLISH! - Thursday, September 19th from 4:30-5:30 in the Miller Building. Does you child love to write stories and poems?  This course will teach your child to learn effective revision strategies via games and fun peer activities and then go that extra step to learn ways to publish.  Cost for the class is $33, taught by Lynne Smelser.
  • DOCUMENTARY FILM-MAKING - This three hour class in an essential guide to becoming a documentary filmmaker, from generating an interesting topic, organizing the production, what equipment you need to create your production and ultimately presenting your finished program to a television or DVD distributor.  You will learn the fundamentals of documentary film making, most importantly what basic equipment you will need to shoot and edit, how to adequately cover your subject and the best way to interview people.  At the end of this class you will be able to determine what is the right topic for you and how establish your own individualistic style.  Learn how to make a professional documentary that millions of viewers may see!
