Here are some quick facts to know about the Michigan Google in Education Summit:

1. Brighton High School is the site of the second annual Michigan Google in Education conference, an event expected to draw 600 educators from around the midwest. 

2. The conference will also serve as an opportunity to showcase significant technology upgrades made throughout the Brighton school district. The two day event will be held November 4 and 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3. The miGoogle conference is cosponsored by Google, the Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL), the REMC Association of Michigan, and Brighton Area Schools and serves as a showcase for how the most talented educators in the state are using technology as a teaching tool. The Michigan Google Summit provides educators the opportunity to share ideas, collaborate, and learn new ways to use technology to improve student learning.

4. Brighton Area Schools is pleased to partner with MACUL, REMCAM and Google to host this exciting event and to unveil recent technology upgrades from the 16 million dollar Technology Bond, passed in 2012. Brighton Area Schools’ vision for technology moves beyond providing the latest devices and gadgets; our vision is to use technology to learn, communicate, collaborate, and create a more robust teaching and learning environment. 

5. The Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping educators identify sound educational practices related to technology as well as understand the implications of rapid changes in technology.
