Ho Ho Holidays!

The Livingston Players Junior Theater performed its second annual workshop of Ho Ho Holidays for children 10 and under this December. Staged inside the ,  stories, songs, crafts and a surprise visit from Santa himself helped bring Christmas wonder to the children of the area. Performances began the last weekend of November and continued the first two weekends December, with performances on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Junior Theater is an extension of the Livingston Players, designed for  elementary through high school students to participate in workshops and programs geared toward their age groups.

Marilyn Meyer works as the director of the theater company, and helped bring "Ho Ho Holidays" to life. "This will be an annual event in Brighton" said Meyers, "and we hope this Santa will be a consistent face for years to come."

For 25 years, Frank Grochoski played Santa at Christmas in the city of Brighton. Grochoski has since passed away, and the role of Santa had yet to be filled. Marc Meyer, of Livingston Players, took on the role in the Ho Ho Holiday production while elves, played by theater participants, were on hand to help the visitors through the event and cause a little playful mischief with Santa's puppet helpers.

Children laughed, sang and were over joyed by Santa's appearance.  Ho Ho Holidays added a little wonder to the magic of Christmas through the eyes of many young children while the atmosphere of the old historic town hall, now the new CoBach Center, served as the perfect setting for  the warmth and joy the holiday brings.
