Breast Cancer Fundraiser

The 2004 Kensington Valley Rebel Hockey team is joining in the fight against breast cancer.  On Saturday, October 26 at 2:30pm at the Kensington Valley Ice House in Brighton, the Rebels will be playing the Macomb Mavericks in a breast cancer fundraiser game.  Each boy will be wearing a special pink jersey dedicated to a friend or family member they know that has be affected by cancer.  The game is a free event but donations will be accepted at the door.  There will also be a bake sale, a 50/50 raffle and face painting. The 04 Rebels have selected three local charities to donate 100% of all proceeds.  They are the Pink Fund (www.thepinkfund.org), Kamp Kesem (www.campkesem.org), and Curves for the Cure (www.curvesforthecure.com).  All three of these great charities help families and kids deal with parents that are affected by this terrible cancer. Each team member will also be raising money by collecting returnable bottles and cans and doing special jobs to earn money throughout the month.  If you wish to donate returnable bottles and cans, Kensington Valley Ice House and Perfect Edge in Howell have collection boxes.  Come join us in the fight against cancer on Saturday, October 26.  Don't forget to wear your pink.  Hope to see you there!
