Nexus Academy of Royal Oak Continues to Welcome Students to Innovative School

Nexus Academy of Royal Oak, a  “blended” tuition-free public high school for students in grades 9-12, is welcoming students and parents to attend one of their December information sessions, opens houses and shadow days. While the school has been open for more than two months, Nexus Academy continues to welcome new students to its campus.

 

Nexus Academy, which now has three locations throughout Michigan, delivers online and classroom learning in a non-traditional campus setting – an ideal choice for students seeking a flexible, yet challenging, school option.

“The ‘blended’ learning model opens a door of opportunity for students looking for a new way to learn and those who would benefit from a flexible school schedule,” said Dale Bernard, principal of Nexus Academy of Royal Oak. “By attending our information sessions, open houses and shadow days, families can find out how Nexus Academy can truly prepare their children for college and beyond.”

Families interested in learning more about Nexus Academy of Royal Oak are invited to register to attend a variety of Information Sessions, Open Houses and Shadow Days to learn more about the enrollment process, review the various class offerings, and discover if Nexus Academy is the right school for their student.

Tuesday, December 10 – Open House at Nexus Academy of Royal Oak, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Wednesday, December 11 – Morning Shadow Day at Nexus Academy of Royal Oak,

9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Monday, December 16 – Afternoon Shadow Day at Nexus Academy of Royal Oak,

1:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday, December 17 – Online Info Session, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Redefining high school for 21st Century learners, Nexus Academy of Royal Oak offers a state-of-the-art physical campus where teachers interact with students both online and on-site. Additionally, campus-based “Success Coaches” help guide students through the school’s
comprehensive online curriculum, which includes AP courses, foreign languages, core academics and more. Among the engaging electives offered is Juilliard eLearning, online music courses developed exclusively with the famed conservatory. Students will be provided with a
laptop and other technology tools; allowing them to work anywhere within the Nexus Academy school as well as beyond, 24/7.


Nexus Academy of Royal Oak is located at 31333 Southfield Road, Suite 200 in Beverly Hills.

 

The school is authorized by The Governor John Engler Center for Charter Schools at Central Michigan University, and is governed by a local Board of Directors. Its curriculum and other services are provided through contract by Connections Learning by Pearson, a division of Connections Education, a leading provider of high-quality, highly accountable online and blended learning accredited by AdvancED.
