Open Enrollment for WSC Academy

WSC Academy of Brighton, a tuition-free public high school for grades 9th-12th, is excited to announce open enrollment for the 2013-2014 School year.  We are offering curriculum enhancements to the already exceptional education we’re known for.  In addition to an online credit recovery program, students will be provided with a blended learning track that incorporates online/computer based classes, flexible scheduling, Project Based Learning (PBL) and specialized instruction with highly qualified teachers.  Our students also have the opportunity to work with mentors from the business community to assist with college preparation, career readiness and job placement assistance.

WSC Academy’s philosophy is to offer quality education in an encouraging, learning environment that allows students to be successful.  We are dedicated to assisting students and their families with academic and vocational needs for those that prefer a smaller, non-traditional school environment.  The curriculum follows the required Michigan Merit Curriculum (MMC) and high school diplomas will be granted through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).

Freddie  Militz, a 2013 graduate shared, “WSC Academy teachers gave me personalized attention that no other school ever offered”.  His mother, Amy Militz, went on to say, “My son wouldn’t have graduated on time in a traditional school.  WSC Academy allowed him to focus on his strength and they identified the areas where he needed some individual attention and support.  He not only graduated on time, but he got a job right after graduation with the staff’s help.”
