Thanksgiving Mass for Ave Maria Radio

Fr. John Rocus of Holy Spirit Church near Brighton, Michigan, celebrated an 8:30 am Mass Thursday morning in Thanksgiving for the work of Ave Maria Radio.  Fr. Rocus and the parishioners at his church took up a collection during Ave Maria Radio’s Fall 2013 Membership Drive  as a gift to Ave Maria Radio. As a result, they received a Day Sponsorship for February 11, 2014: “Today’s programming is made possible by our Day Sponsor, Fr. John Rocus and the parishoners at Holy Spirit Church and School in Brighton, who will be offering a Mass today on this day, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, in Thanksgiving for the work of Ave Maria Radio and the intentions of its listeners.”

Also in attendance at the Mass were students from the Holy Spirit School.  After the Mass, Father asked the School children to process past the Our Lady of Lourdes shrine on the parish grounds and invited all those at Mass to join the procession.  Father also said a prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes and blessed everyone present.
