Brighton Interchange Project to Start Summer 2014
The project will include improvements to the Spencer Rd. and I-96 interchange and will require a closure of the Spencer Rd. overpass bridge.
MDOT will start construction on a major safety and traffic management improvement to the U.S. 23/I-96 interchange during this upcoming summer of 2014.
The project will include improvements to the Spencer Rd. and I-96 interchange and will require a closure of the related Spencer Rd. interchange overpass bridge. The bridge closure is anticipated to last for approximately 45 days.
The bridge closure and related traffic detour routes could have significant impacts for traffic movements into and out of the City of Brighton. MDOT is finalizing its work on the project plans.
