Crews Working to Repair Storm Damage in Brighton

Crews in Brighton are working to clean up after Sunday night's storm.

High winds that knocked out power to thousands in Brighton Sunday evening and closed Brighton Schools buildings Monday also left some damage around town.

According to a Facebook post from Downtown Brighton, a tree was knocked over from the high winds at the Imagination Station where crews are now working to clean up.

More than 392,000 DTE customers across metro Detroit, including more than 4,000 homes in Brighton, lost power in the wake of high winds and a strong storm that blew through southeast Michigan.

DTE encourages customers to report downed power lines and power outages through its mobile website, or online at dteenergy.com, or by using the DTE Energy Outage Center app on their iPhone or Android phone, or by calling 800-477-4747.
