Photo Gallery: Santa's Elves Dress-Up Brighton Statue

Mill Pond Park's Naked Man Statue acquired some festive holiday wear over the weekend.

Each December, Brighton's Naked Man Statue seems to acquire new clothes.

Last year, he wore flannel. The year before that it was cut-off shorts. This year, he sports a grass skirt, lei and Santa hat.

The culprits? A group of women. The ladies do not want their names disclosed, so we'll just call them Santa's elves.

The tradition started as kind of a whim one year at the end of a holiday party. They wanted to make the statue decent by clothing him.

Now it's an annual tradition. They wait until dark, sneak up to the Mill Pond, dress the statue man up, take their pictures and leave.
