Shiera Needs Some Tender Loving Care

Hi, my name is Shiera. I'm a very friendly, affectionate female Lab mix born in 2008. I am typically quiet, but can also be quite active and playful.

I have been around kids of all ages and do great! I get along with some dogs, but probably would not be good with small dogs or cats in the home. I am completely house trained and walk nicely on a leash too.

I was happy in my previous home, but my family gave me up because I had some food allergies they could not afford to care for properly. Thankfully, after receiving some extra care here at the Humane Society, my itchy skin has cleared up now. I've also been receiving heartworm treatments at the shelter and doing very well, so I'm hoping to get back to a full, active life again soon. If I do require  any further heartworm treatments, the cost would be covered by the Humane Society if you adopt me.

So, please consider what a great family pet I could be with just a little extra TLC!
