Video: Derby Girls Make a Splash for Special Olympics

The Brighton Roller Dollz participated in the Brighton Polar Plunge this past Saturday.

It's not everyday you see people jumping into a frozen pond in 32-degree weather in the middle of February - but that's exactly what happened last weekend at the Brighton Polar Plunge.

The Brighton Roller Dollz, Brighton's very own derby team, raised more than $2,200 for Special Olympics of Michigan, making them the highest fundraising team for the event.

Like the announcer in the video said, "The Brighton Roller keep on coming!"
