Blue Lake International Choir: Brighton Concert to Benefit BHS Choirs

The  78 voice 2011 Blue Lake International Choir will present a concert to benefit Brighton High School Choirs on July 24 at 7 PM. The concert will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Brighton. Tickets are $5 at the door with additional donations accepted. The choir will have returned from a  4 week European Concert Tour under the direction of Dr. Carole Ott. The choir's concert schedule included performances in Germany, Belgium, and France. Dr. Ott is currently an Assistant Professor of Music at the Unversity of North Carolina, Greensboro.  Four International Choir students represent Livingston County: Austin Brady and Amy Hine of Brighton, Megan Czopek of Pinckney, and Keith Hutchins II of Howell.  On July 25 and 26, the choir will be in concert at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor.  The second concert will feature a performance of "Brahms German Requiem" with the Blue Lake International Youth Symphony.
