Brighton Smokin' Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and First National Bank are pleased to present the biggest event of the summer season, the 6th Annual Brighton Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival on Friday September 9, 5pm-12midnight and Saturday September 10, 12noon-12:15am.

Each year thousands of visitors flock to downtown Brighton to taste the delicious smoked and barbecue foods of professional vendors and listen to the most prestigious bands from across the country.

The Brighton Smokin’ Jazz & Barbecue Blues Festival will take place in the Municipal Lot just off First Street in downtown Brighton on Friday night and in both the Municipal Lot and Main Street on Saturday.

The entertainment planned for the day will consist of national talent in blues and jazz that surpasses all previous year’s line-ups.

The 2011 headliners include Thornetta Davis, The Silvertones Reunion, Dave Specter & Jimmy Johnson, and the Glen David Andrews Bands. The appearance of the Glen David Andrews Bands is with special thanks to Corrigan Oil and Dana Foster of the City of Brighton.

Even with a line up as exciting as this year, you cannot forget about the numerous smoked and barbecue food vendors that will line the streets and the adult beverage garden to quench your thirst. 

The cover charge into the beverage garden for all adults 21 and over is $5 while all others enter at no cost.  After 6:00 p.m., no one under the age of 21 will be allowed in the beverage garden. The cost per beer is $3, Mike’s Hard Lemonade is $4, and wine is $5.
