Kids' Day at Fowlerville Fair

Kids’ activities are featured all day today because it’s Kids’ Day at the Fowlerville Fair.

Children under the age of 12 are admitted free of charge from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., courtesy of 1st National Bank and Livingston Parent Journal. Regular admission is $5/adult, $4/senior, $2/each child age 6-12 and free for children under 5. Grandstand admission is $10/person per night.

First up is the Beginning of Life exhibit open all day and sponsored by Livingston County Farm Bureau.

Activities at 9 a.m. include:

-Open Class & 4-H Dairy Show - Livestock Arena

-4-H Cat Show - Small Animal Barn

4-H Sheep Show - Sheep & Swine Show Ring

At 10 a.m., the official Kids’ Day activities start up in Finlan Gazebo; included are a sawdust hunt, a free coloring book for the first 500 kids, games. Also, a 4-H hands-on learning experience (which runs all day) takes place in the Little Red Barn.

The carnival fun starts at 11 a.m. when the midway opens; also at that time, registration for the Michigan Pedal Pullers race takes place in front of the fair office.

At 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., enjoy My Adventure Theater, which is sponsored by Jimmy John's of Howell.

Chase’s Racing Pigs show takes center stage at noon, 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Watch the Michigan Pedal Pullers Competition by the fair office at noon.

Bingo - Bingo Gazebo - Sponsored by the Fowlerville Band Boosters also takes place at noon, as does First Bite Fishing begins, which is open all day; it’s sponsored by Edward Jones; also starting at noon and running through 3 p.m. is Lowe’s Kids’ Workshop.

Choose from three contests at 1 p.m.: 4-H Dog Agility & Showmanship - Livestock Arena, 4-H Pocket Pets, Companion Pets and Reptile Show - Small Animal Barn and the Cloverbud Event - 4-H Building; it’s followed by the 4-H Tractor Show at 2 p.m.

At 6 p.m., enjoy musical act Dewayne Spaw-Grandstand; price is free with your $10 paid admission to the 8 p.m. USA Demolition Derby Trucks & Figure 8 show, which is sponsored by Regal's Recycling.
