Photoshop Elements #101

NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR PHOTOS? Capturing the best image you can is only the first step in creating a great photo. The second step is editing the image.

Using the affordable Photoshop Elements program, this class is designed to teach you how to make your photos even better. You'll learn how to "save" too dark photos, bring out the best tones of a photo, correct red-eye and remove unwanted objects.

You'll also learn how to convert your photos to black and white, what resolutions are needed for printing and web-sites, how to crop your photos to showcase the focal point, printing your own photos vs. having them printed, and how prints vary from vendor to vendor (the most expensive isn't necessarily the best!).

The instructor, Sue Balk, says, "My photos have been awarded over 19 Best-in-Shows and over two hundred blue ribbons in the six years exhibiting them. They have appeared in many venues locally and in books, newspapers, websites and even in national magazines. I enjoy sharing my camera and computer skills to help others create their own award-worthy photos. Hope you can join us."

Pre-registration is required and class size is limited.

Dates for the next three-session class are Fridays, Sept. 14th, 21st and 28th. The classes start at 1:00p.m. and are held in Brighton. Cost for the three session class is $75 plus a $5 material fee. Contact Sue at 734.878.9555 or via email at fotos_effects@yahoo.com for more information or to enroll."
