Viewfinder: Moola Ball Cashes in on Fun

The Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce has another winner with annual Moola Ball at Crystal Gardens.

The Moola Ball, an annual event hosted by the , has a reputation for providing fun times and excitement, and the 2011 ball didn't disappoint.

The lure of winning big money, dancing, casino tables, 50/50 raffles and photo booths drew patrons to the Crystal Gardens Banquet Center on Saturday night, despite icy roads. The ballrooms were filled to capacity throughout the night, keeping everyone busy.

According to Jamie Lynn Portnova of the Chamber Administration Services, well over half of the tickets available were sold.

"I had a great time. I was running around all night. I don’t think I even sat down for a half hour. I was constantly on the go more this year than past years," Portnova said.

Chamber CEO Pam McConeghy was pleased with the attendance on Saturday night.

β€œThere were far more people than we expected to attend the event, particularly in the snowy winter weather," she said.

"All in all, the event was a success. We appreciateΒ  all of those individuals who attended, and offer a hearty congratulations to the winners.”
