Sierra Club Potluck and Winter Owl Walk

Crossroads Group of the Sierra Club will host its annual winter owl walk outing in the Brighton State Recreation Area.

A potluck dinner followed by an introduction to owls and owl calls begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 at 6277 Cowell Road, Brighton followed by a short walk to the recreation area at 7 p.m. to observe/call for Screech owls and Great Horned owls, both of which will be nesting.

Participants should bring warm clothes, a flashlight, beverages and a dish to pass. Your hosts will provide cider, juice, sparkling water, books about owls and the warmth of a wood fire.
