Viewfinder: Everyone's Irish At Stout Today

Stout, a traditional Irish pub in downtown Brighton, started St. Patrick's Day festivities early with breakfast at 7 a.m.

St. Patrick's Day seems to bring out the Irish in us all, at least for a day. If you're looking for a place to celebrate, Stout at 125 E. Grand River in downtown Brighton may be just the spot for local lads and lassies to embrace the gaiety of the day and raise a glass of green beer to spring!

Stout opened their doors this morning at 7am, serving stick-t0-the-ribs traditional Irish breakfast fare such as bangers, potato pancakes, Irish soda bread and eggs. Some revelers started their St. Patrick's Day early, ordering green beer to go with their breakfast. Kitchen Manager Jeff Nolff told us that Stout will be serving several special meals throughout the day, including corned beef and cabbage (of course!), Reuben sandwiches, fish & chips, Irish Sliders and more.

You can also enjoy Irish music all day long and into the evening at Stout today, beginning with solo guitarist Larry Conklin, who started strumming at 9am this morning. He'll play until 2pm, followed by Shaun Garth Walker from 2pm until 6pm, and the Scottie Alexander Band from 6 pm until 10 pm. After the bands pack it in, the Scottie Alexander DJ will take over, and Stout will be open for dancing until 2am. Later today Stout will feature prize-slinging girls on swings hung above the bar, too!
