Former Auto Industry Worker Finds Calling as Business Owner

Sign-A-Rama Brighton Owner Michael Favoretto became a business owner in Novemeber 2009.

Michael Favoretto decided it was time to open his own business.

And with a degree in Graphic Arts, Sign-A-Rama was the perfect fit.

"I was interested in businesses that would fit my background," Favoretto said. "I came across Sign-A-Rama, which is the world’s largest sign franchise. It seemed a good match and an interesting business."

Favoretto said that when the time came, he had the option of opening a new store in the Lake Orion area, but then was advised the Brighton location was for sale.

"After visiting the Brighton store and knowing some about the area from past  business relationships, I decided Brighton would provide a greater  opportunity for growth and success," he said.

And so the location came under new ownership in November of 2009.

Sign-A-Rama Brighton is a full service sign company, meaning they design,  manufacture, install and service every kind of sign from the most simple yard sign or banner to highly sophisticated and complex LED message  centers.

Favoretto said that he and his staff have a combined experience of more than 50 years in the graphics and sign industry.

According to Favoretto, while Sign-A-Rama Brighton produces many banners, yard signs and electrical signs, one of their most popular items are vehicle graphics, wraps and partial wraps.

"The design and installation of these types of graphics can be very complex and it requires an in depth knowledge of the materials and installation  techniques critical to delivering a high quality job that our customers  expect," he said. "Vehicle graphics and wraps are the most cost effective means for advertising any business.

The business is currently busy working on a 3,000 sq. ft. wall mural for the University of Michigan's Crisler Arena renovation project.

Wall wraps are something that can be used to decorate homes and offices as well, Favoretto added.
