Lady Jane's Opens in Brighton

Providing a relaxing and comfortable setting geared towards men, Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men officially opened their Brighton location at 8375 West Grand River Avenue on Tuesday.

Sports memorabilia, large leather chairs and TV’s at every station are just some of the details that welcome their male clients, but stylist and store key holder Sarah Heddleston said that Lady Jane’s is “more than just a chain.”

“People generally have a very strong misconception that we’re scantily clad women, but really we just have really good experience working in cosmetology and working with men’s hair,” Heddleston said. “And we do a really good job.”

Not only are the stylists knowledgeable and trained, the staff at Lady Jane’s also provide extra services such as scalp treatments that include 10-minute head massages with essential oils.

“They’re awesome,” Heddleston said. “So there’s a whole procedure behind everything and it’s relaxing- it’s not rushed.”

Children's haircuts are also available with Lady Jane’s is open 7 days a week-- a schedule Heddleston said should appeal to local residents and help accommodate the "family community."

Hours are Mon.- Thurs. 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., Fri. 9 a.m.- 8 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
