Brighton Coffee Shop Boasts: 'Drink Coffee, Be Happy, If that Doesn't Work We Have Beer!'

Two Brothers Coffee in Brighton added a variety of spirits to their menu in August.

Visitors to Brighton can now get an additional pick-me-up at their local downtown coffee shop.

With the addition of a quota liquor license, Two Brothers Coffee cheekily promotes their new motto of, "Drink Coffee, Be Happy, If that Doesn't Work We Have Beer!" displayed in the front of the shop.

The establishment has been serving an array of alcoholic beverages since August, according to Two Brothers Coffee owner Jim Starnes and so far the addition has been well received by the community.

Starnes, who had originally requested a redevelopment license, later dropped his application, applying instead for the quota license, which is new to the city due to an increase in population based on most recent census data.

Besides beer selections, Two Brothers Coffee also has a mixed drink menu and extensive wine list.

Customers are also able to order and purchase cases of wine from the Brighton shop-- just in time for the holidays.
