St. Mary School Hires New Preschool Teacher

St. Mary School welcomes Jennifer Smyczynski to its faculty this fall.  Mrs. Smyczynsld holds a bachelor's  degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement  from Oakland University and a Master's degree in Teaching Reading from Eastern Michigan University. She joins the school as its new Preschool Director/Teacher.

Mrs. Smyczynski offers an enthusiastic, relevant, and age-appropriate curriculum  supported by current educational research.   She strives to foster in each student a positive self-image, good problem-solving skills, and the desire to be a lifelong learner and is grateful for the opportunity to develop her preschoolers' foundation and potential within a safe and nurturing  Christian environment.

"Teaching preschool is extremely rewarding and a lot of fun.  Young children are so eager to learn and genuinely excited about the world around them that it is impossible not to be drawn in by their enthusiasm. Teaching preschool is also a big responsibility as it is the time when children are developing the foundation on which they will continue to build their knowledge throughout their lifetime.  I am very thankful to the families that allow me the opportunity to share in helping their children learn and grow.  In my opinion, teaching preschool is definitely the best profession."
