St. Mary Walk-a-Thon Raises Funds for Gleaners Food Bank

The students of St. Mary School in Pinckney participated in a fall walk-a-thon on Friday, September 27, 2013.  

Kindergarten through 8th grade students collected pledges and enjoyed a healthy and active day with classmates and family members.  Funds raised were used to purchase 10 new laptops for the teaching staff through the school's technology fund.
Additional funds were donated to Gleaners Food Bank, which provides the equivalent of more than 100,000 meals per day to people who cannot otherwise afford the food they need.
