Another Successful Brighton Garden Club Meeting

THANK YOU, CRYSTAL GARDENS!

The Brighton Garden Club hosted 200 guests at Crystal Gardens for it's Michigan Garden Club District Meeting in October. The staff was very helpful, and the food was delicious.

Our morning speaker was Gretchen Voyle, Horticulture Educator, of the Michigan State University Extension Program in Livingston County whose topic was:  "Better Landscaping Alternatives". In the afternoon, David Michener, Assistant Curator of the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum at the University of Michigan spoke to us about his wonderful workplace and 'Gardens for a New Century'.  If you haven't been to Matthaei in Ann Arbor yet, put it on your 'bucket list' as you're in for a treat.  We also had a wonderful selection of vendors as well as beautiful and Michigan related centerpieces for each table.

The Brighton Garden Club meets the 2nd Thursday of each month between September and June at the Brighton Community Center at 11 a.m. which includes a luncheon.  Come and see what we're doing this winter!!
