Corrections and Clarifications

Errors happen, and Brighton Patch will correct them.

Our goal at Brighton Patch is to be your best and most accurate source for information about the community.

When we learn we have provided incorrect information, we will correct it as quickly as possible, and the correction will be noted at the bottom of the story, in italics. In addition, we will publish our most recent corrections and clarifications here. You'll find "Corrections and Clarifications" featured on our home page on the days when we make them.

  • In an April 20 article about four parolees being housed in the City of Brighton, the number of parolees in Livingston County each year as well as the number of parolees that require alternate housing were corrected.
  • In a March 7 article about LACASA, board member Maria Stuart's name was corrected.
  • In the Feb. 24 Ask a Trooper column, the direction a person travels inside a round-about was corrected to counter-clockwise.
  • In an article about Brighton Varsity Wrestling beating Hartland High School Jan. 26, the names of the Hartland wrestler and the Brighton wrestler he pinned, were corrected.
  • In an article about a Brighton native winning a gold medal in a skydiving competition Jan. 17, a quote was corrected to say the Air Force jump class does not use static lines.
  • In an article about the Adopt-a-Highway program on Sept. 30, the spelling of Lisa Bohlen's name was corrected.
  • A story about on March 14 was corrected to reflect that Colin Miller began working at Heirlooms Oriental Rugs in 2005.
  • In an article and video on the at Mill Pond Park that ran March 14, the spelling of Bryan Bradford's name was corrected.
  • An article on has been updated to reflect that on May 21, 10 finalists will perform their songs at The Music Man during an event, and the top winner will be announced and play live on WHMI.
  • In our for the 's , the hours have been corrected to read Tues.-Fri., 5 p.m.-8 p.m.; Sat., 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sun., noon-8 p.m. The exhibit runs through Feb. 27 at the .
  • In "," the article should state Jo Cook is the first female to wrestle since Matt Bishop took over as coach. According to Lakeland Athletic Director Gregory Michaels, Katelyn Oberlee wrestled for LHS during the 2002-03 season and the 2004-05 season. She earned Lakeland's "Most Dedicated Wrestler Award" during the 2004-05 season. 
  • In "," the headline and story were changed to reflect the correct new hours, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, starting Jan. 8.
