Family Fun on Tap at Library's Springfest Celebration

Brighton District Library will host its 11th annual Springfest for families 1-4 p.m. Sunday.

The announces the arrival of springtime fun with its eleventh annual Springfest family celebration Sunday from 1-4 p.m.

Outside the Library’s Youth Department, families can join the festivities in Millie’s Garden, where kid-friendly fare includes ice cream treats, balloons and jumping fun in a bounce house castle.  Stop by the miniature reading house to read a favorite storybook or stroll through the garden, fragrant with blooms.

Inside the library, stations will be set up for children’s face painting. Crafts and Mehndi, a form of skin decorating using henna, will be available for teens.

At 1 p.m., enjoy the magical effects of Amazing Clark’s Magic Carpet Show where illusions appear and vanish right before your eyes. The magician and comedian will keep the audience guessing, laughing and entertained with tricks, suspense and puppetry.  

Take a step back in time at 2 p.m. to hear ballads, melodies and harmonizing from Livingston’s own Jesters Barbershop Quartet.

Springfest is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brighton District Library, a non-profit organization that supports the Library throughout the year through used book sales and memberships.
