Good Morning Brighton

Twice a week, Brighton Patch will post a snapshot of something from around Brighton. Readers are asked to guess the location of where the picture was taken. It will be like a virtual tour guide of Brighton.

1. The weather

Today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 34 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be be mostly cloudy, with a low around 24 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Monday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

• Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.69

• CITGO, 1050 E Grand River: $3.75

• Mobil, 9925 Spencer Rd: $3.77

3. Bingo

Play bingo today at 1 p.m. at the Brighton Senior Center inside the Miller Intergenerational Center. There is a 50-cent drop-in fee; in addition, each bingo card is 25 cents.

4. Fat Tuesday Celebration

Bagger Dave's Legendary Burger Tavern will host a Fat Tuesday Celebration all day Tuesday, to introduce the chain's new Twisted Mac & Cheese, which will be featured on the restaurant's spring menu. 

5. Trivia

Thursday's picture was taken at Maltby Intermediate School.
