Here are five tidbits of news and information we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

1. The weather

Today will be partly sunny, with a high near 23 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be be cloudy, with a 30 percent chance of snow ater 1 a.m., and a low around 18 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

  • Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.87
  • Sunoco, 602 W. Grand River Ave.: $3.89
  • Mobil, 9925 Spencer Rd: $3.91

3. Bingo

Play bingo today at 1 p.m. at the Brighton Senior Center inside the Miller Intergenerational Center. There is a 50-cent drop-in fee; in addition, each bingo card is 25 cents.

4. Livingston County PFLAG Meeting

First United Methodist Church of Brighton will host a Livingston County PFLAG meeting to at 7 p.m. PFLAG is Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
