1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 76 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 54 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Toastmasters Open House

Ever wonder what happens at a Toastmasters meeting? Join in a special event tonight from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, June 7th in the Mabon Room of Howell Carnegie District Library, 314 W Grand River Ave, Howell.

Th event is free and features prepared speeches from Pat Convery, President of the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce and The Hon. Phillip Campbell, Mayor of Howell as well as an overview of the Toastmasters program. Space is limited, so RSVP today!

4. Art at the Mill Pond

Brighton Art Guild will host Art at the Mill Pond tonight in from 6-9 p.m. Now in its ninth year, Guild members display, create and sell their art in this unstructured event in front of the Millpond along Main Street, in Downtown Brighton Millpond.

5. Trivia

Tuesday's picture was taken at the new Michigan State Police Post under construction, next to Brighton Township Hall.
