1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 65 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a 40 percent chance of showers after 2 a.m., and a low around 48 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Tuesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

  • Costco, 6700 Whitmore Lake Rd: $3.99
  • Mobil, 9925 Spencer Rd: $4.05
  • Sunoco, 602 W Grand River Ave: $4.08

3. Storytime

Barnes & Noble Booksellers will host its storytime today at 10 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.

4. HBALC Chili Cook-Off

The Home Builders Association of Livingston Countywill host its annual Chili Cook-Off competition today at 5:30 p.m. at Memories Restaurant & Lounge. Cost is $5 for HBALC members and $10 for non-members.
